The proprietors of Villa Camilla, an upscale rental property in the US Virgin Islands' Turks & Caicos, needed to streamline personal interaction time spent on marketing. The villa's owners were using small print advertisements in relevant travel and island media for promotion, but were fielding phone calls to the tune of 8 - 10 calls per "sale." With 46 rental weeks to attempt to fill per year, time spent with callers was really adding up. Fresh Cut Grass suggested a simple web site with relevant villa information, island information, weekly rates and the ability to reserve specific weeks at the villa via the web. Villa-Camilla.com, built in 1997, was an immediate success not only in terms of improving the perception of the villa as an upscale destination justifying its weekly rental rates, but also in cutting back drastically on the amount of personal sales time required by the proprietors.
